Product Description

1J79 1J85 Similar to Super Permalloy 80 High Initial Permeability Transformers Magnetic Shielding Material

Permalloy refers to ferro-nickel alloy, which has a wide range of nickel content between 35% and 90%. The most important feature of Permalloy is its high magnetic conductivity of weak magnetic field. Their saturated magnetic induction strength is generally between 0.6 and 1.0T.

1J85 is used in DC relays, communication and electronic equipment transformers, core laminates in chokers, magnetic shielding devices, parts or control elements.

Permalloy Know-How

After the 70's, in order to meet the needs of high-frequency switching power supply and magnetic recording technology development, it is added by a variety of elements such as tantalum, tantalum, tantalum, tantalum, tungsten, titanium, silicon and aluminum to gain a high hardness, high resistivity, low loss of high magnetic conductivity alloy in this containing high nickel nickel-iron alloy. Therefore, Permalloy become the most high-performance types and the most representative alloy in soft magnetic alloys and it has the most widely varieties and usages.

Through appropriate processes, magnetic properties can be effectively controlled, such as initial permeability exceeding 105, maximum permeability exceeding 106, coercivity as low as 2 ‰ Oersted, rectangular coefficient close to 1 or close to 0, Permalloy with a face-centered cubic crystal structure has good plasticity, and can be processed into an ultra-thin ribbon of 1 μm and various use forms. Commonly used alloys are 1J50, 1J79, 1J85 and so on.

1J50 1J79 1J85 Application

The saturation magnetic induction strength of 1J50 is slightly lower than that of silicon steel, but the magnetic permeability is dozens of times higher than that of silicon steel, and the core loss is also 2 to 3 times lower than that of silicon steel. If made into a higher frequency (400 ~ 8000Hz) transformer, the no-load current is small which is suitable for making small higher frequency transformers below 100W.

1J79 has good comprehensive performance which is suitable for making high frequency and low voltage transformer, leakage protection switch core, common mode inductor core and current transformer core.

The initial permeability of 1J85 can reach more than one hundred thousand (105), which is suitable for making low-frequency or high-frequency input and output transformers, common mode inductances and high-precision current transformers used in weak signals.
